Arrival/Departures
Upon arrival we will meet at the parking location attached in your contract packet. Google Maps will get you to the parking lot and we will be waiting at your designated time of arrival. From there we will load all of your gear into one of our off road vehicles and take you up the 6 mile 4X4 road to our base camp. Our basecamp is where the horses and guides will be waiting for you. After unloading your gear/food the guides will then separate, weigh, and load your gear onto horses accordingly. You will then be fitted/matched with your horse for the week, if in a guided camp, drop camp hunters may or may not have the same horse upon departure date. Our horses are gentle and well trained, allowing for all levels of terrain and rider experience. Once all hunters, guides, and horses are ready to depart the horseback ride begins into the wilderness to your hunting destination. Rides can be anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3.5 hours long to get into your camp. You will receive your departure time for your departure date before leaving our basecamp. If things change, hunters fill tags, people get sick, etc., please contact us or talk to one of the guides to organize an alternate departure date. We will make all efforts to accommodate reasonable requests.
Camps
Guided
Accommodations and meals are included in all of our guided trip prices, unless otherwise stated. Accommodations are wall tents that will have cots, lanterns, and a wood burning stove for your comfort, with plenty of firewood to burn. Each tent will sleep up to six with some accommodations being closer quarters than others. There is a separate cook and dining tent for meals, with tables and chairs, coffee, water, and tea always available. Also provided is a generator for any of your electric needs. We provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner with some specialty desserts from our cooks.
The camp meals will vary each day depending on the cooks plans. However, you will receive breakfast before departing for our hunts. Lunches will be provided for you to pack in on full day hunts and dinner will be ready in the evening upon returning from your hunt. If you have questions feel free to ask. Hunting is yours and our first priority; the Beaver Creek Family will take care of you to the best of our abilities during your stay with us so we can focus on your hunting experience! We pride ourselves on our services; our guides are class acts and some of the best in the area. If the elk don’t cooperate we can assure you there will be plenty of laughs, full bellies, the best comfort that the wilderness has to offer and stories to bring home to remember for a lifetime!
